Art projects will allow men and women to experience creation first hand using methods, materials and information typically associated with women. The Art of the Tarot
a ten week group
for men and women
The tarot is an ancient and modern tool – a deck of cards that uses visual symbolism to represent the universal states of consciousness of mankind. During ten weeks of intensive study participants will use paint, collage and drawing techniques to personalize their own tarot deck. We will also study the history of the tarot, the best known art imagery from the tarot and how to use the different decks in our lives. No pervious knowledge or experience is required and non-artists will learn techniques to loosen inhibitions. Come enjoy this rich visual and creative experience! The Archetypes We Live With –
What They Have to Teach Us
a ten week art group
for personal growth
By becoming aware of the archetypes operating in our lives we can get a glimpse of our purpose here on earth. Our conflicts and struggles, our strengths and weaknesses, our love lives and our fortunes are tied in with the archetypes we invoke when we begin our journey in life. Using the work of Caroline Myss, Carl Jung and mixed media art techniques, adult participants will name, claim and come to understand their own personal archetypes. A ten week commitment is required for this in depth course of study. Optional reading list provided at registration.

True Colors
a ten week art group
for men and women
Through an in-depth study of color theory participants will learn the importance of color and the impact color has on our lives. Exercises in primary and secondary color, tone, tint, hue, the complementary colors and esoteric color theory will prepare participants for a final culmination project as each person creates his/her own color profile. A powerful and practical tool, the profile can increase our comfort level and self-acceptance as well as beautify life.

Self Expression Through Painting
a painting workshop
for teens and adults
Six Friday mornings from 10 am to 12 noon begins next week
Art has historically been a way for people to express themselves in a non verbal way. Emotions, stories, dreams and visions that the left brain knows nothing of can be tapped into during the creative process. Whether you are looking for yourself or your artistic voice, this class is for you. We will use tempera paint, watercolors and acrylics to search our psyches and tell our stories in this 6 week class. Color theory, composition and experimental use of materials will be emphasized.
